The wisdom of Dr Seuss
"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." Dr Seuss.
Does your life feel anything like this?
Trying to stay in control, organised, on top of everything, not missing any deadlines, milestones. You know exactly what is coming up and when. And every moment of your day is planned out. This is success, no?
In my experience, the more out of control a person or organisation is or feels, the more control is applied. Until it stops one from experiencing anything in the here and now. Your life is so timetabled that your mind is focussed on what's next. As opposed to being present, now.
Perhaps you are trying to manage a busy household? Or maybe you are juggling lots of priorities? You might even be planning a major reorganisation at work. I wonder whether there are any tasks/events which have a title like 'stop, take stock, reflect'?
What would happen if you stood still and drank in your surroundings, right now? What do you notice? Perhaps you'd like to do more of it? What are you missing if you don't?
Wouldn't it be great if your life looked more like this?
