If you don't risk anything, you risk everything
It was Remembrance Sunday a few days ago. We gave thanks to those who risked their lives so we can live ours. In terms of risk, that's a big one isn't?
I was struck by how regularly an opportunity arises which involves risk. It might be speaking up at work when you disagree with something, or taking a chance on love. Whatever the risk, there will be a consequence. And the only real consequence is that you'll get some feedback from taking the risk and you will move forward.
But what happens if you don't take the risk? Well, you may continue to do a job which doesn't fulfil you, or live somewhere you don't like, or remain in a destructive relationship. But actually if it pays the rent, is a roof over your head and better the devil you know (and other such platitudes), then I suspect you are surviving rather than living.
What's stopping you from taking the plunge and having the life of your dreams?
